Lhosar Festival

Lhosar is the celebration of the New Year by the Tibetans residing in Kathmandu in Nepal. The New Year day is celebrated by the Tibetans during the month of February. This festival is celebrated with color and gaiety in Kathmandu. The monasteries in Kathmandu are thronged by the Buddhists during this festival.
